Our Story
Frustrated by how much sensitive data they had to share just to get things done, our founders Roisin McCarthy and Bala Subramanyan started exploring a better way. With Roisin’s commercial background in building businesses globally combined with Bala’s cryptographic background in financial services, it quickly spiraled into a mission—to make privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs) more accessible and practical for real-world use. Initially, the company focused on how individuals could use PETs to share data securely, but soon realized the bigger challenge lay in improving data sharing between organizations.
After two years spent delivering award winning R&D aimed at making the UK more cyber resilient, Verifoxx turned to commercializing its technology in 2023. Since then, Verifoxx has completed projects across the public, private, and regulatory sectors, grown to a team of 6 with private international investors.

Do privacy enhancing technologies mean I dont have to apply GDPR?No. Privacy enhancing technologies help support the execution of certain principles of GDPR but do not replace the requirements of GDPR.
